Loughborough Inn’s Policies & Booking Information


Rates are per adult and per child per night and reflect occupancy of the unit, length of stay, day of the week and the season and are finalized at check-in.

Rates are in Canadian dollars and do not include gratuity or applicable taxes. Loughborough Inn is an American plan resort and thus cost of breakfast, lunch and dinner is included in the daily rate. Credit is not given for missed meals.

Stay Policy


The minimum length of stay at Loughborough Inn is two days in the spring and fall and three days in the summer. Exceptions to these lengths of stay maybe made for last minute reservations.


To confirm a reservation, a non refundable deposit is required.

For American Plan guests a $200 CDN per adult for stays of 7 days or less and $300.00 per adult for stays of 8 days or more and $50.00 per child age 3 yrs or more is required at time of booking to guarantee the reservation.

For European Plan guests (without Meal Plan-HSK) deposit of 25% of the reservation value is due at time of booking to guarantee the reservation.

Payment can be made by cheque, Visa or Mastercard and must be received at time of booking. The deposit is applied to the last day of the reservation.

Cancellation Policy


A refund will be given if a reservation is cancelled with a minimum of twelve weeks written notice

A $50 administration fee per reservation will be applied to all cancellations

A deposit will be held for one year toward a future reservation that is fulfilled within the following calendar year if written notice of cancellation is received between 10 and 12 weeks of arrival. Any deposit that is unused after one year will be forfeited.

Deposit will be forfeited if cancellation is received within 10 weeks of arrival.

Check- In & Check- Out


Check in is 3:00 pm

Check out is 11:00 am

It is imperative that check-out and removal of belongings be completed by 11:00 am as any delay will inconvenience arriving guests. A per person service charge will be added to all late check-outs.


Seating times and recommended social distancing will be in effect in the dining room.



Gratuity based on service is appreciated by the staff and may be left at the front desk when settling your account.



Visa, Mastercard, Traveller’s cheques, Money orders and cash can be used to settle accounts. Fair exchange is given for US currency, based on the prevailing rates as determined by our banking institution.

Pet Friendly


Pet friendly units are available. Enquire at time of reservation for details.

Dockage/Boat Rentails


Dockage is provided at no charge. Electrical outlets are at dockside. Boats and pontoon boats are available for rent from the adjacent Loughborough Lake Marina. Boater’s license is not required.

Fishing Guides


Local independent guides are available. We can reserve one for you. Guides will prepare shore lunch from the day’s catch.

Border Crossing Information


Everyone over the age of 16 is required to present a passport or passport card when crossing the US-Canada border. Children under the age of 16 will need a birth certificate to travel across the border.

A person with a DUI conviction should not be the driver of the vehicle crossing the border since entry to Canada may be denied. More information on requirements and how to apply for a passport or a passport card can be found at
